Trainee EMC Laboratory Test Technician Apprenticship

ETS provides emissions and immunity compliance testing for the European, US and other international markets. We are looking for a Trainee EMC Laboratory Test Technician to work within our busy test laboratory. The successful candidate will work within a small professional team, have a positive attitude in an environment where customers come first. They will need to be responsible, reliable, methodical and able to follow instructions.
They will be trained to work with electromagnetic test equipment which includes RF Test Receivers and various immunity and electrical disturbance equipment.
Apprenticeships generally lasts for 2 – 4 years depending on the programme followed. An interest in the subject area is essential. A requirement to study whilst at work either through day-release or distance learning means that the successful candidate will need to demonstrate the commitment and aptitude to complete the programme.
Skills Required
Good communication skills
Good knowledge of computers
Able to follow instructions on work and test procedures
Qualifications Required
GCSE English, Maths, minimum grade C or equivalent.
GCSE or equivalent in ICT is desirable but not essential.

ETS is in a rural location with no public transport.
